A Successful Yet Sad Summer
Seriously, where is it? How has the school year already begun? Where did the time go? WHERE? As summer comes to a close, we are reflecting with a mix of gratitude for new partnerships and adventures, plus nostalgia for memories and chapters coming to a close.
While the stifling sweaty season is historically a slower time for Genius House, we kept busy with new partnerships such as the American College of Lifestyle Medicine, Entegris, a high-tech manufacturing company, and The Weaponry, a super cool agency out of the midwest who has some badass clients. For ACLM, we are producing multiple pieces to help promote their upcoming conference, certifications, courses, and more. Here’s one video on “Food As Medicine” we recently completed. Per usual, we are stoked to continue to create videos for our beloved long-term partners U.S. Polo Assn., The Dallas Symphony and The Warm Place.
While client workflow certainly keeps the lights on, more than ever, mental health is paramount. Each of us at Genius House was able to take some time away from our hot hometown of Fort Worth - Rick exploring the west coast with family, Shawn biking 100 miles in the heart of the Colorado Rockies, and Adam & Colleen taking a bucket list camping trip through the Tetons, Yellowstone, Glacier and Yosemite. Travel, Mother Nature, and leisure time with loved ones have proven to be the antidote to burnout and we are all rejuvenated and ready for fall.
Sadly we do have some heartbreaking news to share - we had to say goodbye to the goodest boi in the office in July. Stevie, pictured on the left, was an absolute legend, accompanying us around the U.S. on shoots, by our sides daily in the office, and over 17 years as a part of the Fischer family. Needless to say we (Adam & Colleen) are devastated but will forever cherish the many memories we were fortunate to have with him. For reasons such as that, being able to blend our professional and personal lives has been a true gift.
